Reading Tag!

My friend Melissa at Melissa's Idea Garden tagged me with the "What Are You Reading" tag!

The "tag" says: Turn to page 123 of the nearest book, go to the fifth sentence and post the next three!

Then tag five more people.

Well, the book nearest me is not the one I am currently reading -- but I will follow the rules!

This is from Sarah Ban Breathnach's "Mrs. Sharps Traditions"

"The highlight of the occasion was crowning with flowers the "Queen of the May," who would then preside over the festivities of games and a spring-time party of cakes and punch to which the entire town was invited.

Besides creating a Maypole, English villagers would also decorate their own homes with festive wreaths, garlands, and ribbons. An anonymous English poet describes the beloved custom this way:"

That's not fair! does the poem count as part of the three sentences? I'm saying it doesn't! You will have to come back and read it in May :)

I tag: Ms. A at "Live without Money"

My sweet friend Adriana

Another sweet friend who loves to read: Lady Jane (her journal is friend's only. sorry. But I have to tell you that she posted her best/worst dressed Oscar night post and I look forward to this every year!!!!!!! Sorry to make you jealous.)

And I would never leave Melissa out of a reading tag!

Finally, I tag Katy, The Country Blossom!

I hope you all have a very blessed day!
